RAFFA introduced “UK-EU Caribbean Diaspora Leadership programme and presented a case study from the “Jamaica Diaspora Initiative” featuring the innovative approach to funding the building of Glen Stuart Primary School, Computer Lab & Library, Maggotty, St Elizabeth, Jamaica. The traditional “Partner” has been adapted to ensure a sustainable remittance to directly support educational attainment, local employment and the development of a new community asset. The project owner, Sharon Smith-Robinson, was also recognised as “International Practitioner of the Year;RAFFA Awards for Development 2010
