RAFFA, recently donated specialist medical equipment including, a platelet agitator, optipress, freezers and scales to the National Blood Transfusion Services, who are responsible for Blood collection and distribution across the Island.
Community Medical Facilities
Mary Seacole Legacy Programme is designed to support the development of neighbourhood medical facilities for the treatment of people with long term conditions
Health Professionals and HIV/AIDS
During 2007, RAFFA, organised a knowledge sharing symposium hosted by the Mayor of Spanish Town for Health professionals and practitioners from the Diaspora and Jamaica to share knowledge and experiences about HIV/AIDS for the benefit of local communities, particularly, children and young people.
Food, Nutrition & Healthier Lives in Jamaica
Food, Nutrition & Healthier Lives is an initiative that seeks to link young communities and their natural environment for long-term health improvement and sustainability.
RAFFA, has been awarded the coveted Inspire Mark for Passing the Baton from the London Organising committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) and Food, Nutrition & healthier Lives from 2012 Health Improvement Legacy.
