After an exceptional launch last November, the NBWN are joining forces with NatWest Business Banking to present the launch of the Faith and Business Summit in Birmingham.  This exciting event that brings together business owners, faith leaders and budding entrepreneurs to create new business ventures through the wealth of social capital in our faith organisations.

The Faith and Business Summit: Harnessing the Social Capital of our Nation’s Churches will look at the role of the church in business; from social enterprise, fair trade, micro finance to eco-friendly companies, and evaluate its current relevance in contemporary culture.

The aim of the Summit is to: –

  • Showcase best practice across different faith organisations
  • Highlight how churches can capitalise on its untapped assets to create and sustain businesses
  • Encourage areas for multi faith collaboration 

In addition, key issues discussed on the day include: –

  • Understanding faith-based organisations contribution to society
  • Starting, growing and supporting more businesses in their communities
  • Encouraging international trade through their networks
  • Developing social action programmes that creates jobs and eradicates poverty

Facilitated by Sonia Brown MBE (NBWN) there will be a keynote speech from the Rt. Hon. Stephen Timms MP, Chair All-Party Parliamentary Group on Faith and Cohesion as well as presentations from an impressive line-up of speakers including: –
