Our Mission

The mission of We Are One People Foundation is to educate all people by bringing awareness to the public about issues that affect all people through outreach projects and fundraisers.

Faith

Faith is believing in someone or something with all your heart having no doubts that whatever it is that you believe is possible.

Let no one fill your heart with doubts, if such a thing happens your spirit becomes broken and your faith is now diminished then the possible becomes impossible. – Kevin Richard

About Us

We Are One People Foundation (W.A.O.P.F.) was inspired by one man’s passion to bring knowledge to al people in order to educate, prevent and help in difficult times. John Brown’s original concept was to help bring awareness about Diabetes and the prevention of Diabetes to those in need especially in his native country of Jamaica. John was diagnosed in his adult years and knew that his lifestyle contributed to his disease. After beginning to put together various fundraisers and event projects he soon realized that there was a need for other information and education awareness programs that W.A.O.P.F. could help with. This realization evolved W.A.O.P.F. into a multi-faceted organization with its main purpose to be fundraising for any needy cause, specializing in events in the Caribbean market.

23.6 million Americans have diabetes — nearly one in four does not know it! Diabetes is more common in African Americans, Lations, Native Americans, Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. You’ve probably wondered how you got diabetes. You may worry that your children will get it too. Unlike some traits, diabetes does not seem to be inherited in a simple pattern. Yet clearly, some people are born more likely to get diabetes than others.

Through this foundation I hope to raise money and awareness to continue the ongoing education of the World about Diabetes. My focus is to reach out to those that may not get this information otherwise. And help those already diagnosed but cannot get the proper treatment.

One of our first focuses is in my native land of Jamaica. We have been working with the local government and have been given approval to go forward with Tour de Life. This bicycle ride will crossover the fertile land of beautiful Jamaica from Montego Bay to Negril. Advertising is ready to start and we are looking for sponsors who would like to be a part of this historical event.
