Peaceful, Caring & Enterprising Neighbourhoods: Knowledge Sharing Roundtable

This event aims to recognise progress, explore future partnerships, and provide co- operation and co-ordination amongst churches and related agencies with statutory bodies ( Police, Public Health and Education):
Case Study: TripleAConnect – Church of God of Prophecy and West Midlands Police working in Partnership
This is an inspiring initiative, led-by Senior Pastor Neville Fletcher, COGOP Acocks Green, Birmingham, Introducing Community Chaplains as a new approach to supporting family relationship-building, reducing the number of children and young people at risk of entering the Justice system and working with statutory bodies.
This “Passing the Baton” event also includes presentations from Frontline Practitioners who are mentoring young people and working in neighbourhoods to address some of the causes and impact of gun and knife crime.
The Church and it‟s related agencies with their combined expertise are key providers. The Government has said, „ We want to give citizens, communities and local government the power and information they need to come together, solve the problems they face and build the Britain they want. We want society – the families, networks, neighbourhoods and communities that form the fabric of so much of our everyday lives – to be bigger and stronger than ever before. Only when people and communities are given more power and take more responsibility can we achieve fairness and opportunity for all.
