J.S.T.A.R
Just Stand Together And Reach is dedicated to providing, young people and adults with information, support and advice to help them develop their confidence and skills and practical solutions to the problems faced; these may include getting back into education or training, concerns regarding unemployment, social health and well-being or starting an enterprise.
As young people become more positive, productive and independent, the whole community benefits as they pass on their knowledge and experiences to others. This is the concept of ‘Passing the Baton’.
Our goal is to foster a commitment to young people that will promote social friendships, strong interpersonal skills and reassert a sense of hope in their future. Only through personal relationships can a sense of individual responsibility be established. This will give them the commitment to follow through on a path to adulthood with a renewed sense of pride, hope and accomplishment.
Through the award wining programme ‘Passing the Baton’
We involve young people in the design, development and delivery of community empowerment projects that improve young people’s skills and enhance their employment and enterprise opportunities. This is achieved through developing partnerships with education institutions and social health & wellbeing organisations.
