RAFFA International Development Agency (RAFFA) extends its deepest condolences to the people of Jamaica following the devastating impact of Hurricane Melissa on October 28 2025. The scale of destruction—loss of lives, the devastation of livelihoods, and substantial damage to critical infrastructure including airports and hospitals—demands a united and urgent response from the international community, local authorities, and humanitarian partners.
We welcome donations and in-kind support from organisations, groups and faith-based communities that wish to contribute to Jamaica’s relief and recovery efforts. To ensure coordinated, region-wide impact and to prevent duplication, please contact RAFFA at the details below. RAFFA will collaborate with partners to align gifts with identified needs across affected regions and to facilitate efficient distribution through our vetted partners on the ground.

RAFFA International Development Agency is pleased to announce a coordinated partnership with ‘JLB Shipping Company’, ‘Church of God of Prophecy UK’, and the ‘Echoes of the Front Room’ community production initiative as we join together to deliver vital aid and recovery support to communities in Jamaica affected by the recent hurricane.
This partnership reflects our shared belief in community, collaboration, and compassion. RAFFA will continue to work closely with our partners as our CEO travels to Jamaica to assess needs, coordinate local support, and ensure that assistance reaches families and communities directly.

RAFFA Announces Partnership with 'Echoes of the Front Room'
'We were simultaneously supporting efforts aboard and held discussions with Gwen about how we could actively support the work including the productions presented under Echoes of the Front room. We have been vicariously supporting this effort by buying tickets, and sponsoring individuals to attend.'
Echoes of the Front Room is an interactive drama and exhibition celebrating Caribbean culture, with a focus on the front room. Created by Gwen Madden and Sarah Burke in collaboration with the Voice of Vision Community Project. The second instalment in a trilogy of comedy plays, based on the Caribbean migrant experience in England in the 60s and 70s.
In the wake of the devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa we are actively collaborating with partners, individuals, groups, faith and other organisations in an effort to provide the much need support to those on the ground in Jamaica. For tickets and more details about the production from Voice of Vision, visit the Eventbrite page and their Facebook community page.
