Tribute to Bishop Adrian Varlack Senior

Today, we pause to honour and celebrate the life of Bishop Adrian Varlack Senior, a distinguished servant of God, respected church leader, and visionary Pentecostal statesman. Through his ministry, he helped reposition the message of Pentecostalism on the broader stage of Christianity, connecting the Church with the needs of communities across nations and empowering believers to engage meaningfully with the world around them. Like the Apostle Paul, whose Damascus Road encounter transformed a regional movement into a ministry with global reach, Bishop Varlack championed a faith that was both spiritually transformative and relevant to the challenges of our time.

As a towering figure within the Church of God of Prophecy International, Bishop Varlack's leadership was marked by humility, wisdom, integrity, and a steadfast commitment to advancing the Gospel. He consistently encouraged collaboration, partnership, and engagement as essential expressions of Christian witness, inspiring organisations and individuals alike to work together in service of God's Kingdom.

Beyond his ecclesiastical contributions, Bishop Varlack played a significant role in the history of RAFFA International Development Agency. As one of its pioneering supporters, he was present at the agency's inception at the House of Lords, hosted by the late Baroness Howells. From those earliest beginnings, he believed in RAFFA's vision and mission, encouraging the organisation to engage, facilitate, and partner with those who would advance the essential message of the Gospel through practical action and transformational development.

His friendship, counsel, and unwavering support for the work of RAFFA have been deeply valued and greatly appreciated. His influence reached far beyond titles and positions; he inspired others through his example of faithful service, compassion, and dedication to advancing the work of God in both spiritual and practical ways.

While we mourn his passing, we also give thanks for a life well lived, a legacy firmly established, and the many lives enriched by his ministry and partnership. His contributions to the Church, to RAFFA International Development Agency, and to the wider community will continue to bear fruit for generations to come.
