At the Zentrum kindergarten school in Accra, Ghana, dozens of children have received everything from books, shoes and clothes to printers, mouses and computers. These were supplies that would help improve their schooling and education, bettering their lives not only in the present, but also for the future.
But the story doesn’t start there!
The making of 'God's Storehouse'
Years earlier, from a room in her house in the UK, Norma Downes (pictured below with two kindergarten workers) started the initiative “God’s Storehouse”. She opened her home to receiving donations, with her mission plan being to give them to children who needed them, almost 5000 miles away. Eventually, Norma received so many books, clothes and supplies that RAFFA had to support her in storing them. We supported in raising funds for the start of her project!

In 2021, Norma and God’s Storehouse, together with RAFFA, transported the first delivery of supplies to Zentrum School Accra. This gave the kids the opportunity to bring their education into the modern day with laptops and other educational electronic devices, blessed them with new clothes to wear, and provided them with a multitude of books to read and enjoy.
Since then, God’s Storehouse has been established in Ghana, and Norma has moved there. She still receives and blesses people with donations from the UK, and RAFFA helps God’s Storehouse with the facilitation of this.
What started as an idea from one woman in a room in her house, is now enriching the lives of hundreds of others.
